§ Mr. Carmichaelasked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the fact that one of the favoured sites for the proposed new Partick Health Centre would require that a school with swimming pool would need to be demolished, if he will refuse permission for any such demolition until after a replacement pool serving the same area has been opened.
§ Mr. Harry EwingThe education authority has made it clear that the site in 155W question will not be released until a replacement swimming pool is available, and has proposed that the cost should be met by the Health Service. Although, in these circumstances, it is unlikely that Partick Health Centre will be built in that location, negotiations are still continuing.
