§ Mr. MillanI have published today a statistical bulletin containing provisional estimates of the deficit or excess of teachers in education authority secondary 43W schools by subject at the time of the September School Census in 1974, 1975 and 1976. This bulletin is planned as the first in a continuing series of statistical bulletins on educational matters which I propose to publish as soon as possible after the information contained in them becomes available, so providing much more up-to-date reports than is possible in the detailed and comprehensive publication Scottish Educational Statistics. A limited number of bulletins will be published in 1977 and the long term aim is to have bulletins covering a wide range of educational subjects; they will be available free of charge, and copies will be placed in the Library.
