§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs on what occasions and by what 434W means Her Majesty's Government have made specific undertakings in regard to direct elections to a European Assembly, other than by general statements related to the Treaty of Rome (a) prior to May 1975, and (b) since that date.
