HC Deb 09 May 1977 vol 931 c358W
Mr. Dodsworth

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he will take steps to ensure that drinkers of lager and lime, shandy and such other drinks are charged only for the quantity of lager or beer which they receive in the glass in addition to the mineral water or cordial.

Mr. John Fraser

I presume the hon. Member is referring to the Price Commission's finding that the prices charged for lager-and-lime and shandy were often higher than the costs of their constituents sold separately. We have received initial comments on the report from interested parties and are now considering them with a view to discussing the Commission's recommendations.
