Mr. Bradford

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many property developers have had to repay part or all of the compensation under Section 24 of the Land Development Values (Compensation) Act (Northern Ireland) 1965, having decided to build on land for which compensation was received on the basis that further development would not take place.

Mr. Carter

In 52 cases compensation paid under the Land Development Values (Compensation) Act (Northern Ireland) 1965 has been repaid in whole or part. Claims for repayment have been made in a further 10 cases.
