HC Deb 09 May 1977 vol 931 c391W
Mr. Hooley

asked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the talks between South Africa and the five Western Powers concerning Namibia, which took place in Cape Town on 27th to 29th April.

Mr. Rowlands

The five Western members of the Security Council were able to have useful discussions with the South African Government in Cape Town. When the five Governments have fully assessed these exchanges and informed the other parties chiefly involved of their content it is envisaged that there will be further talks.
