HC Deb 09 May 1977 vol 931 cc340-1W
24. Mr. Adley

asked the Secretary of State for Trade if, as part of the renegotiation of the Bermuda Agreement, he will seek to withdraw all traffic rights for non-stop flights between New York (John F. Kennedy) and British airports until Concorde has obtained landing rights to John F. Kennedy Airport in accordance with current treaty obligations; and if he will encourage the French Government to take similar steps concerning traffic rights between John F. Kennedy Airport and French airports.

Mr. Dell

I do not think it would be helpful if I were to disclose to the House my tactics for the concluding stages of the renegotiation of the Bermuda Agreement. As for the intentions of the French Government, it is not for me to speak. I am, of course, in close touch with them.
