§ Mr. BishopExport subsidies are available for butter exported from the EEC, but continue to be subject to surveillance by the European Commission in cases where advance fixing is sought to safeguard contracts for the supply of significant quantities. The current rate of subsidy for butter exported from the United Kingdom is about 28 pence per pound.
