HC Deb 03 May 1977 vol 931 cc151-2W
Mr. Wigley

asked the Secretary of State for Wales on what date the Treasury Solicitor was requested to advise on the Snowdon Estate access agreements; on what date the Treasury Solicitor replied; on what date the substance of his reply was conveyed to Gwynedd County Council; and if he will explain the delay.

Mr. Alec Jones

In October and November 1975 and—as part of a comprehensive communication—in April 1977, respectively. The Treasury Solicitor's advice formed part of the detailed consultations that were needed on the many separate and extremely complex issues affecting the future of the Snowdon Estate. These, coupled with the pressure of other work, have necessarily taken time.
