HC Deb 03 May 1977 vol 931 cc164-5W
Mr. George Grant

asked the Secretary of State for Employment what instructions are given to local employment offices concerning procedures for dealing with members of the public with complaints under the Employment Protection Act 1975 for reference to the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service.

Mr. Harold Walker

Local offices within the Department of Employment group have instructions to issue such leaflets as may be appropriate to the inquiry and, where necessary, to tell the inquirer where further advice can be obtained. Where an inquirer indicates that he wishes to refer a matter to an industrial tribunal, local offices have instructions to issue the appropriate form and the accompanying leaflet.
