§ Mr. George Cunninghamasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in what line of the Estimates for 1977–78 provision is made for interest-free loans to members of the Diplomatic Service for purchasing cars; and how much is included in the figure for that purpose in the 1976–77 and 1977–78 columns of Supply Estimates 231–II.
§ Mr. TomlinsonThere is no provision in Supply Estimates for loans made to members of the Diplomatic Service to purchase cars as in each case the sum involved is placed in a suspense account which is cleared as repayments are made.
