§ Mr. JohnThe Home Office Voluntary Services Unit makes grants to the Prince-dale Trust, which supports the welfare and advisory services of the organisation called Release. Payments amounting to £53,000 have been made since the grant was approved in 1974. This money can be used only for charitable purposes, and can thus be put only towards the welfare activities of Release; it may not be used to promote any wider objectives of that organisation.
