§ Mr. Spearingasked the Minister of Overseas Development whether she intends to provide assistance to the United Nations Institute for Namibia in Lusaka, Zambia.
§ Mrs. HartI have offered the institute a special contribution of £50,000 to be paid through the United Nations. This is in addition to a three-year programme for English language teaching and related activities which has been agreed directly with the institute under technical co-operation arrangements. Parliamentary approval for this special contribution will be sought in a Supplementary Estimate for the Overseas Aid Class II, 8 Vote. Pending that approval, the necessary expenditure will be met by a repayable advance from the Contingencies Fund.
