§ Mr. John GrantI have been advised by the Chairman of the Health and Safety Commission that acrylonitrile is well recognised as a highly toxic chemical. Health and safety precautions at those plants in Britain at which it is produced are, therefore, very strict and there have been no reports of untoward health effects from exposure to acrylonitrile in recent years.
