HL Deb 21 March 1977 vol 381 cc375-6WA
Lord STONE

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether there is any further progress to report on plans for the future of the Theatre Museum.

Lord DONALDSON of KINGSBRIDGE

Yes. My right honourable friends the Secretary of State for Education and Science and the Secretary of State for the Environment have agreed that, subject to the satisfactory conclusion of negotiations on the terms of the lease with the Greater London Council, work on the adaptation of the former Covent Garden flower market may start as soon as detailed designs are completed.

House adjourned at two minutes before ten o'clock.
