§ Mr. William RodgersIt has been estimated that the savings in working time alone provide a return on investment of about 8 per cent-10 per cent. in real terms for a typical trunk road scheme. This is in addition to savings in nonworking time and accidents, and represents a direct increase in productivity for industry and commerce.
