HC Deb 21 March 1977 vol 928 c444W
Mr. Craigen

asked the Secretary of State for Scotland, in view of the cancellation of the projected Maryhill motorway, what part the Scottish Office is playing in working with the Strathclyde Regional Council, Glasgow District Council, Scottish Development Agency and other interested bodies towards measures to revitalise the north-west sector of the city.

Mr. Hugh D. Brown

My officials are in regular contact with the local authorities and other bodies concerned about the problems of urban renewal in Glasgow, including Maryhill, and I am willing to consider any initiatives they propose.
