§ Mr. Roseasked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he will review the provision of long-term overseas credit to assist the sales of British aircraft of Third World countries and in particular to assist the marketing of the HS748 and, if developed, the HS146.
§ Mr. MeacherI see no reason to do so. I am satisfied that the existing arrangements for ECGD to offer support for export sales on credit of British aircraft, including the types mentioned, provide a full back-up. Where it is alleged that other Governments may have broken internationally agreed rules, we thoroughly investigate and would if necessary offer matching terms.
