§ Mr. William RodgersAdvisers present were two assistant secretaries responsible for finance and rail freight; three principals responsible for rail freight, road freight and rail passenger services; and one senior legal assistant. One private secretary and two junior staff under instruction also attended. Salary scales are available at page 882 of the Civil Service Year Book 1976, subject to a subsequent increase of £6 per week for those earning less than £8,500 per annum.
