HC Deb 16 March 1977 vol 928 c189W
Mr. Wall

asked the Secretary of State for Defence what was the value and the age of the furniture and fittings recently sold at RAF Leconfield; and how much replacement will cost.

Mr. Wellbeloved

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report; Vol. 927, c. 682], gave the following information:

The recent sale of furniture and fittings at RAF Leconfield included miscellaneous used items no longer required by the Services, together with obsolescent furniture from 17 officers' and two airmen's married quarters. Detailed records for individual items are not kept, but none of the furniture was less than 12 years old and most was very much older. The sale realised £12,500. The miscellaneous items will not be replaced. The cost of replacing the furniture in the 19 married quarters will be £25,000.
