asked the Secretary of State for Employment what percentage of the civil servants in his Department he estimates will retire within the next 12 months.

Mr. John Grant

I estimate that about 1.5 per cent. of civil servants in the Department of Employment Group will retire in the 12-months period commencing 1st April 1977.
