HC Deb 15 March 1977 vol 928 c151W
35. Mr. Rost

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what representations she has received from parents at Dale Abbey since giving approval to the proposed closure of the primary school; if she is satisfied that a closure at Easter, during the academic year, is reasonable; and if she regards six weeks' notice of the date of closure as adequate.

Miss Margaret Jackson

My right hon. Friend has received two complaints, one from solicitors acting on behalf of a group of parents, and a second from the Derby Diocesan Council of Education about the intention of the Derbyshire local education authority to close this school at Easter. This is being investigated, and until these inquiries have been completed I am unable to comment.
