By what date it is anticipated that the Cumnor by-pass will be completed, what was the original estimate of the cost of its construction, and how far this amount is likely to be exceeded by its final cost.
§ Baroness STEDMANThe Cumnor by-pass scheme is not a matter for which Her Majesty's Government are responsible. It is a county principal road improvement being carried out by Oxford-shire County Council, the local highway authority. I understand that the works now in progress are due for completion in August. It would be for the county council to decide whether details of the scheme's financial progress should be made available at this stage.
