§ Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what steps are taken to protect historic remains such as raths when a planning application is being considered; and if he is satisfied that the planning officials are always kept informed of the existence of such monuments.
§ Mr. CarterThe Historic Monuments and Buildings Branch of the Department of the Environment is consulted and due account is taken of comments made in determining planning applications affecting historic remains such as raths. I am satisfied that planning officials are aware of the location of such monuments.
