§ Dr. J. Dickson MabonThe recent appraisals by an expert appointed by the licensees of the Frigg Field have been of initial gas reserves in place, rather than of recoverable reserves. The expert's final report to licensees will be presented in mid-April and, when they have agreed the shares in the field they will so advise the Governments. Under the terms of the Frigg Agreement the two Governments will consult each other with a view to agreeing figures for the total reserves and their apportionment between the Continental Shelf of the United Kingdom and that of Norway.
