§ Mr. Dodsworthasked the Secretary of State for Energy what action his Department took recently in connection with the movement of essential supplies into the nuclear power plant at Windscale, in view of the current industrial dispute.
§ Mr. BennI have overall responsibility for safety at Windscale. On 4th March the strike committee at the plant asked me for confirmation that certain supplies were essential for safety, and needed to be taken on to the site. I provided this confirmation. I am currently engaged in discussions on this question and will report further to the House.
