HC Deb 10 March 1977 vol 927 c670W
Sir Frederic Bennett

asked the Secretary of State for Trade whether he is satisfied with the progress of steps towards trade relaxations between East and West European signatories of the Helsinki Final Act; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. Meacher

Although there has been some modest progress, much still remains to be done. There will be an opportunity at the Belgrade meetings later this year for a full assessment of the implementation of all the provisions of the Final Act.
