§ 21. Mr. Kilfedderasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether he will consider seeking to recall the Northern Ireland Convention in view of the deteriorating political and security situation.
§ Mr. MasonNo. Under the terms of the Northern Ireland Act 1974 there is no longer any power for me to reconvene the Constitutional Convention, but I do not, in any case, believe that the time is right for a political initiative of the sort which the hon. Member has in mind.
