§ Mr. Viggersasked the Secretary of State for Defence if he is now in a position to give further particulars of spectator facilities which will be available at the Jubilee Review of the Fleet at Gosport on 28th June 1977.
§ Mr. Robert C. BrownIn general, viewing arrangements for the public fall outside the responsibility of my Department. I understand, however, that the sea fronts at Southsea and Gosport will provide good viewing positions for the general public, and that a number of private ferry operators will be offering tours of the Fleet.
Two special shore enclosures at Brown-down Range and Fort Gilkicker are being made available for naval and dockyard personnel, ex-Service men, naval widows and ships' companies' families. A small proportion of the latter will also be able to attend on board ships of the Review Fleet.
Special anchorage areas have been set aside for yacht clubs and private yachtsmen and these have been published in the yachting Press.
