§ Mr. Rostasked the Secretary of State for Energy if he will report progress on the work to establish the feasibility of generating wave power; and what he expects the next phase of development will commence.
§ Mr. EadieI announced and gave details of the Government's two-year programme to examine the feasibility of generating wave power on 29th April last year in reply to a Question from my hon. Friend the Member for Coatbridge and Airdrie (Mr. James Dempsey).—[Vol. 910, c. 150–1.] Work has progressed satisfactorily and the concept continues to show promise. I expect to make a further statement in the near future.
