§ Mr. MacGregorasked the Secretary of State for Employment what would be the net income of a married man with two children previously earning £65 gross a week beginning 28th February 1977, assuming that he was in receipt of unemployment benefit due to a trade dispute at his place of work in which he was not taking part or directy interested.
§ Mr. Golding,pursuant to his reply [Official Report 7th March 1977; Vol. 927, c. 431], gave the following information:
It is not possible to state what the man's net income would be. This would depend on many factors, including the amount of income derived from investments and these will vary enormously.
