§ Mr. EnnalsIn January I offered the British Medical Association talks without commitment about the principles of a new consultant contract for negotiation and implementation when pay policy permits. It accepted, and submitted proposals for a new contract. Discussions between officials and representatives of the medical profession have now commenced.
