Mr. Peter Mills

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a further statement on the problems of immersion chilling of poultry and the European Economic Community.

Discussions on the Commission's proposals are now in progress at official level in Brussels. As I assured the House during the debate on 31st January, we shall continue to consult with the industry and to draw fully on the expertise of the scientists at the Food Vol. 925, c. 863], gave the following information;
