§ Mr. Les HuckfieldA considerable amount of research is being undertaken both in industry and in Government establishments which is either directed at or relevant to the development of substitutes for asbestos. This has led to the commercial availability of other materials for such uses as steel work and pipe lagging and wall boarding. The Health and Safety Commission's Advisory Committee on Asbestos is currently reviewing the whole situation.
