§ Mr. StrangThe Government have no plans to reintroduce the lime subsidy. Government assistance towards the cost of liming, with higher rates in hill areas, is available under the Farm and Horticulture Development Scheme and the Farm Capital Grants Scheme. In Scotland, assistance is also available under the Crofting Grants Scheme.
