to pay the costs of residence in local authority and voluntary homes; and it they may apply means tests;
(2) how many residents are supported in local authority and voluntary homes, respectively, by health authorities; and what was the expenditure on this by health authorities in the last financial year.
§ Mr. MoyleWhere persons are accommodated under NHS arrangements in local authority and voluntary homes, area health authorities may contribute to their costs of residence, but AHAs have no powers to charge individuals for such costs. Information about total numbers and expenditure involved is not centrally available.
