§ Mr. HoramNone at present. The Road Traffic Act 1974 removed the power of the courts to award imprisonment for an offence under Section 25 of the Road Traffic Act 1972, but increased the maximum fine from £50 to £100. A driver found guilty of this offence must also have his licence endorsed, and may be disqualified.
