Mr. StrongI regret that information regarding permitted ingredients in beer in each of the EEC countries is not readily available and could not be obtained without disproportionate cost. The EEC Commission has now withdrawn an earlier proposal for the harmonisation of the legislation of member States on the composition and labelling of beer which has been under consideration in the Community for a number of years.
