Friend raised the question of the welfare of the British mercenaries with President Neto and the Angolan Foreign Minister, Mr. Paolo Jorge, when he visited Luanda on 17th April. My hon. Friend the Minister of State also discussed the matter with Mr. Jorge during the recent Maputo Conference.
