Mr. Hoyle

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will publish in the Official Reportdetails, for the past three years, of the percentage of his Department's textile purchases spun and woven overseas, the square yards represented by such purchases, the value of the purchases and their country of origin.

Mr. Moyle

No textile goods are purchased by my Department. Those used in the National Health Service are purchased by health authorities, and information about the quantity, value and source of supply of these purchases is not readily available.
