§ Mr. Hoyleasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science if she will publish in the Official Reportdetails, for the past three years, of the percentage of her Department's textile purchases spun and woven overseas, the square yards represented by such purchases, the value of the purchases, their country of origin and of any advice issued by her to local education authorities about purchasing British textiles.
§ Miss Margaret JacksonMy Department does not purchase textiles. Such items as are supplied for use in the Department are the concern of my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for the Environment. My Department does not issue advice to local education authorities on purchasing British textiles.
