§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Employment if he will list the programmes of his Department which were subject to cash limits in 1976–77 and which are subject to cash limits in 1977–78.
§ Mr. Golding,pursuant to the reply [Official Report,20th June 1977; Vol. 933, c. 339], gave the following information:
All expenditure by my Department was subject to cash limits in 1976–77 and is so subject in 1977–78 with the exception of the following items.
*Youth employment grants to local authorities.
Recruitment subsidies for school leavers.
Youth employment subsidy scheme.
Temporary employment subsidy.
National Dock Labour Board loan.
Job creation programme.
Job release scheme.
*Trade union education and training grant.
International Labour Office subscription.
Grants to local authorities for employment and training of seriously disabled people.
*Subject to cash limits in 1977–78 but not in 1976–77.
§ Dr. McDonaldasked the Secretary of State for Employment, in the case of each programme, what was the amount by which Government spending on each of the programmes subject to cash limits in 1976–77 fell below the cash limits.
§ Mr. Golding,pursuant to the reply [Official Report,20th June 1977; Vol. 933, c. 339], gave the following information:
Final figures are not yet available. The Treasury will, however, be publishing the amounts spent on each cash limit block in 1976–77 as soon as the figures have been verified by Departments.
