§ Mr. FreesonLocal authorities in England and Wales reported sales of 1,633 existing dwellings in 1974–75 and of 2,309 such dwellings in 1975–76. There is no comparable information on the repossession of former council dwellings by authorities where owners have failed to maintain mortgage repayments.
