Mr. Wyn Roberts

asked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what are the terms of reference of the British Film Institute and the extent to which the institute is supported financially by her Department.

The memorandum of association of the British Film Institute states from suitable candidates from schools of all types, and in recent years the majority of those accepted have been educated at State schools.
