HC Deb 21 June 1977 vol 933 c397W
10. Mr. Spriggs

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many people in the St. Helens constituency have registered as disabled persons as a result of suffering from agoraphobia, or any other of the recognised phobias; and whether any diagnosis and medical treatment is provided by the National Health Service for those who suffer from agoraphobia.

Mr. Moyle

The answer to the first part of the Question is "None, Sir". Diagnosis and treatment for those suffering from agoraphobia may be provided under the National Health Service both by family doctors and by specialist psychiatric or psychological services.
