HC Deb 20 June 1977 vol 933 c316W
Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Prime Minister for what reason the Commonwealth Prime Ministers' Conference debated the affairs of South Africa during its recent meeting in London.

The Prime Minister

The Commonwealth Heads of Government discussed the problems posed for Commonwealth countries by the policies of the South African Government. These are a subject of serious concern to all these countries and especially to those in Southern Africa.
