HC Deb 20 June 1977 vol 933 c360W
Mr. Geraint Howells

asked the Secretary of State for Wales if he has any plans to deal with the increase in rabbit infestation in Wales; and if he will make a statement.

Mr. John Morris

Our latest surveys have not indicated any general increase in rabbit infestation in Wales, although there have been some local increases in the spread of rabbits on individual holdings. Our present policy and provision remains as stated in the reply given by my right hon. Friend the Minister of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food to the hon. Member for Sevenoaks (Sir J. Rodgers) on 26th April. [Vol. 930, c.278.]
