§ Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many persons he expects annually to take the new compulsory course in fraud detection for local office fraud officers starting in July 1977; where the course will be held; and what the annual cost of running the course will be.
§ Mr. OrmeIt is estimated that between 300 and 400 fraud officers will attend the central training course in the 12 months commencing July 1977. The first course will be held at the Billingham Training Centre and later courses will probably also be held at the Preston and Hinchley Wood centres. The annual cost of running the course is likely to be in the region of £41,000.
