§ Mr. Ioan Evansasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection when he will publish proposals for safeguard regulations under Clause 9 of the Price Commission Bill.
§ Mr. Hattersley,pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 13th June 1977; Vol. 933, c. 64], gave the following information:
I am today placing in the Libraries of both Houses copies of a consultative document setting out my proposals for safeguard regulations, which will prescribe minimum levels of profit which companies must not be prevented from earning through the operation of investigations or examinations under the Price Commission Bill. Copies have also been placed in the Vote Office and the Printed Paper Office.
