Mr. Marten

asked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what quantities of the following items were home produced, imported from the EEC and imported from the rest of the world, namely (a) bacon and ham (b) carcase meat and offals, (c) wheat and flour, (d) butter, (e) oils and fats, (f) lamb, (g) potatoes, (h) canned vegetables, (i) fish, (j) citrus fruit and (k) apples and pears; and for those items imported from the rest of the world, if he will state the countries for which they were mainly imported in 1976.

The information requested, for all items except apples and pears, is contained in "Food Facts" No. 3 published by my Department on 22nd March 1977, a copy of which is available in the Library of the House. For apples and pears the information is as follows:
